Restaurant fight ends with 1 dead, 1 hospitalized

A fight between two groups of men in a Calgary restaurant ended with one dead and one in hospital early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the Little Beijing restaurant in the 2100 block of Centre St. North at 3:40 a.m. where they found one man suffering from stab wounds. He died at the scene, said police.

A second man was taken to hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition, said duty Insp. Dave Wood.

Information from witnesses led police to stop a vehicle on Beddington Trail N.E. They took three men into custody for questioning by homicide investigators, said Wood.
