Woman charged in kidnapping, armed break-in arrested after Canada-wide warrant

A woman with a Canada-wide warrant for a Calgary armed break-in is now facing charges for a recent robbery and kidnapping incident in Saskatchewan after being arrested in Regina.

The incidents took place in both Alberta and Saskatchewan

A woman with a Canada-wide warrant foranarmed break-in in Calgaryhas been arrested and chargedfor a recent robbery and kidnapping incident in Saskatchewan.

The Regina Police Servicesaid in a release Wednesday thata 34-year-old man had been kidnapped and assaulted earlier this month.

Police said the victim was in contact with a womanthrough a messaging service on Oct. 9.

After agreeing to get together in person,the manfound himself in an unfamiliar housewith a group of unknown people.

It's alleged he was kidnapped, assaulted and robbed before being forcedto take an unknown substance believed to be drugs.

The victim was returned home, but police say the perpetrators left with his car, some electronic equipment and other personal items.

After the incident was reported to police, an investigator recognizedone of the suspectswho was located and arrestedon Oct.17.

Sarah Dawn Louisa Wilm, 30, of Regina is charged with robbery, assault with a weapon (pellet gun), administeringanoxioussubstance (drugs), kidnapping and extortion.

Police say the investigation is ongoing butWilmmade her first court appearance on these charges on Monday.

She is wanted on different charges in Calgaryafter residents ofa home in the northeastwere threatened with a knife during a break-inon Aug. 8. That incident spurred a Canada-wide warrant forher arrest after she breached release conditions for unrelated charges in Saskatchewan.
