Man, 50, sought after 2 people stabbed at house in Huntington Hills

Police want help locating a 50-year-old suspect after a man and woman were seriously wounded in a stabbing at a house in northeast Calgary on Monday morning.

Attack not believed to be random

Police want help locatinga 50-year-oldsuspect after a man and woman were seriously wounded in a stabbingat a house in northeast Calgary on Monday morning.

Warrants have been issued for Qisong Zhouof Calgaryin connection with the incident, police said in a release late Monday.

Police and EMS were called toa home in the 200 block of Huntcroft Road N.E. at about 7:45 a.m., where they found aman in life-threatening condition and awoman in serious condition.

They were both taken to Foothills hospital, where they remain in serious but stable condition.

It's not believed the attack was random as the suspect and victims knew each other well,police said.

There were twoother adults and three children in the house at the time of the stabbing. None were injured, police say.

Neighbours told CBC News they heard shouting in the house before police arrived, but were shocked by the violence in thequiet neighbourhood.

"We just don't seem to have that type of trouble, so it's the first I've seen. I've been here since 1971," said neighbour Bill Tanner.

He is described as Chinese, five feet seven inchestall, with a slim build, brown eyes and black hair. It is believed he was wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt at the time of the attack.
