Teen boy killed in apparent stabbing in Forest Lawn, Calgary police say

A teen boy has died from apparent stab wounds after an altercation in Forest Lawn Thursday evening, police say.

A teen boy has died from apparent stab wounds after an altercation in Forest Lawn Thursday evening, police say.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of 41st Street S.E. at about 7 p.m. for reports of a fight with a weapon.

At the scene police found the teenager suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds, police said in a release Friday.

He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died from his injuries.

The homicide unit is investigating.

An autopsy has been set for June 10.

Police said no further details will be released until the completion of the autopsy.
