Police are still trying to piece together what happened.

So far, all they could say is that an adult at the home went outside and found the boy in the pool.

"I'm not sure why, but the adult ran to the adjacent corner store, where 911 was called and that's where first aid was rendered," said RCMP Sgt. John Spaans.

The store is "within a stone's throw" from the home, he added.

Police said in a release Friday thereisno indication of foul play or criminal responsibility at this time.

Delacour is a hamlet just east of Calgary, located about 10 kilometres from the city's northeast periphery.
