Campaign to light up the High Level Bridge gets boost

A campaignto add musicallightsto Edmonton's High Level Bridge was given a boost at city hall this morning.

Councillors gave the green light to a plans to raise$3 million to light up the bridge with a state-of-the-art designsynchronized to music

The group behind Light up the Bridgewillraise the money thorugh private donations and buy-a-bulb campaign.

The group saidthebridge was once a symbol of a the young city'sconfidence, ambition andswagger and should not disappearonce the sun goes down.

Organizers believe they can raise all the money needed by the end of the summer withthe lights installed before the end of the year.
