A crane line broke at the Kelly Ramsey Tower construction site in downtown Edmonton Thursday, sending a bucket full of concrete crashing to the ground.

The bucket hitground in an area fenced off from the road around 2 p.m. but noone was hurt.

One witness said she was sitting on a bench onRice Howard Way when she suddenly heard a snap.

"I looked up and I saw this thing like a box. It came flying down and all I heard was a big crash and a big cloud of dust."

The woman, who didn't want to be named, said the crane was swaying. She worried the whole thing would topple over. She was also concerned for her safety and the wellbeing of the workers.

"I'm still shaking," she said. "It scared me so bad."

An official from Ledcor, the construction company, said the incident is now under investigation.
