Edmonton bus driver charged with failing to yield in fatal accident

Police have charged the bus driver involved in the collision that killed an 83-year-old pedestrian in west Edmonton earlier this month.

The bus struck Mary Lynchat87th Avenue and 169th Street just after 2 p.m. on Oct. 4.

The bus was headed northon 169th Street and was turningleftonto 87th Avenue when ithit Lynchas she crossed the avenuein a marked crosswalk.

Police have charged the 42-year-olddriverwithfailing to yield to pedestrian in a marked crosswalk.
