Tung Do of Camrose has just claimed a $1 million Lotto Max windfall, 10 months after finding out he won in the Mar. 14, 2014 draw.

I wanted to be calm and ready when I claimed it, Do said in a statement.

I got a lot of pleasure knowing I had a million-dollar ticket somewhere safe.

Now, Do says he plans to invest some of that money in a retirement fundto help give me some more free time.

News of Dos million-dollar secret comes one day after another Albertan struck it rich.

Edmontons Donald Owen won $2 million in the Jan. 10 Western 649 draw.

The clerk thought it was $200,000, he said in a statement, but when I put my glasses on and counted the zeroes, I realized it was $2 million.

He plans on spending some of his winnings on new furniture.
