Morinville woman's death ruled a homicide

A woman who was found dead Wednesday night in her Morinville home was the victim of homicide, RCMP said Friday.

An autopsy on Jessica Martel, 26, was performed on Friday.Police are not releasing the cause of death.

No one has been arrested or charged.Police are continuing their investigation.

RCMP found Martel's body after they were called to her home at 7:45 p.m. MT Wednesday.

Her 29-year-old common law husband was in the home along with three children, all under the age of seven.The man was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries. The children are now in the care of family members.

Morinville is about 35 kilometres north of Edmonton.
