Motorcyclist killed in crash near Spruce Grove

RCMP are investigating a fatal crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck just west of Spruce Grove.

Police were called to the scene of the crash, on Highway 16A at Range Road 11, just before 7 p.m. Monday. They say the Ford F150 appears to have been trying to cross the highway when it was hit bythe motorcycle.

The 57-year-old motorcyclist later died in hospital. The truck's driver suffered minor injuries. She has been charged with failing to proceed safely.
