Police ask public for help in missing woman's case

Leduc RCMP are asking the public for assistance in the case of a missing Fort McMurray woman who disappeared a year ago.

Awareness walk to be held for Amber Alyssa Tuccaro

Leduc RCMP are asking the public for assistance in the case of a Fort McMurray woman who went missing a year ago.

Amber Alyssa Tuccaro, whowouldbe 21 years old now, was reported missing by her mother on Aug. 18, 2010, when she failed to return to the hotel in Nisku where she andher two-year-old son and a girl friend were staying.

The Leduc RCMP have been investigating her disappearance for almost a year.

The Stolen Sister's Awareness organization and the Tuccaro family will host the Amber Alyssa Tuccaro Awareness Walk this Saturday at the Sacred Heart of the First People's Church basement.

Theawareness walk will begin at 3 p.m. anda vigilwill follow at around 4 p.m.
