A fundraising campaign has boosted the reward for a tip that solves the disappearance of a missing Alberta couple to $60,000.

"All of this love and support from the city of St. Albert, from Alberta and really, all of Canada, it's just heartwarming for our family," Bret McCann said Friday.

"It has really given us a lot of strength to carry on throughout this whole nightmare of a summer."

McCann's parents, Lyle and Marie McCann, went missing on a road trip from St. Albert, Alta., to British Columbia in early July.

The couple's Hyundai SUV and burned-out motorhome were found in two separate locations near Hinton, west of Edmonton. But there has beenno sign of the McCanns.

RCMP have named Travis Vader, an Alberta man, as a suspect in their disappearance but no charges have been laid.

More than 200 people from across the country have donated money to the campaign, which was launched on Aug. 16.

The reward will stand at $60,000 and any new donations will help with the search.
