Trail along Groat Road to close for eight weeks

Cyclists and pedestrians will face eight weeks of major detours, as the city plans to close the mixed-use trail along Groat Road between 107th Avenue and Victoria Park Road.

Pedestrians and cyclists will have to take detours while city works on 102 Avenue bridge.

Cyclists and pedestrians will face eight weeks of major detours, as the city plans to close the mixed-use trail along Groat Road between 107th Avenue and Victoria Park Road.

The trail will close on February 18th because of construction on the 102nd Avenue bridgeover Groat Road.

The city warned many road closures may be necessary over the course of construction, which is set to wrap up in Fall 2015.

In the meantime, the city has created an interactive detour map to help drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians get around the area.
