Wanted 19-year-old arrested for early September double shooting

Hamilton police say they have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with a double shooting on the Mountain on Sept. 3.

Paramedics were called six minutes apart that morning about two different victims, who were found about10 blocks away from each other with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say the incidents were tied to an altercation that took place at a residence near UpperWentworthStreet andStone ChurchRoad East.

On Saturday afternoon, police announced they had found and charged a 19-year-old.

They did not list the charges he was facing, but said previously they were seeking to charge him withdischarging a firearm with intent to wound, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
