Hamilton's Caribou gets Grammy nomination for 'Our Love'

DanSnaithofDundas, who performs as Caribou, is up for a Grammy awardfor best dance/electronic album for "Our Love,"his sixth album.

He's one of many Canadian artists up for nominations at the American music awards show.

Toronto's The Weekndleads the Canadian contingent,in the running for seven Grammys including the Record of the Year and Album of the Year awards.

The breakout R&B star, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was also nominated for best pop solo performance, best R&B performance, best R&B song, best contemporary album and best song written for visual media.

Nominated are his album "Beauty Behind The Madness," the chart-topping hit single "Can't Feel My Face," and "Earned It" from the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" soundtrack.

His seven nominations tie him with Taylor Swift's tally and he only trails Kendrick Lamar's 11.

Fellow Toronto native Drake is nominated for best rap performance for "Back To Back," best rap song for "Energy" and best rap album for "If You're Reading This It's Too Late." He's also nominated in the best rap performance category for his part in the Nicki Minaj song "Truffle Butter," which also features Lil Wayne, and in the best rap/sung collaboration category for the Minaj song "Only," along with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.

The Grammys will be handed out on Feb. 15, 2016.

Cuban-Canadian singer-songwriter Alex Cuba for best Latin pop album for "Healer"

Toronto's Ron Korb for best new age album for "Asia Beauty"
