Police hoping to identify men seen near attempted murder

Hamilton police are asking for the publics help in tracking down two men captured on surveillance video around the same time a man was brutally stabbed last week.

Hamilton police are asking for the publics help in tracking down two men captured on surveillance video around the same time a man was brutally stabbed last week.

The men aren't being calledsuspectsby police, who say theyare still investigating what involvement, if any,the two men pictured above have in the incident.

On Thursday night around 8:45 p.m., police were called to the parking lot of the Centre on Barton, where it was reported that three men were attacking another man.

The victim, a 35-year-old Hamilton man, was beaten and stabbed repeatedly, police say.

Witnesses saw two male suspects getting into a white Acura sedan while the other suspect was seen running from the area going south. The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say they believe the victim and the suspects knew each other and that this was a targeted incident.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for one suspect, Jonathan Shane Beaver. He is now wanted for attempted murder and is considered dangerous, police say. They are advising the public to not approach Beaver and call 911 right away if hes seen.
