Slushy start brings late morning collisions, parts of RHVP closed

The overnight freezing rain has stopped, but drivers should takeextra precautions as crews work to clear the roads.

HamiltonPolice eastern division acting Staff Sgt.Greg Jackson said its been a quieter day than expected considering the conditions, but there's been some late morning collisions to report. The storm even helped police catch a suspect during a getaway early Tuesday morning.

• A collision has closed parts of the Red Hill Valley Parkway from Mud to King streets 12:22 p.m.
• Parts of Main Streetwill be closed today from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., and will remain closed during those hours on Wednesday.
