Hamilton police are investigating after theysaya man was shot near Tim Hortons Field.

Police say they responded to a call about an active domestic incidentshortly before 4 p.m. nearGage Avenue North and Cannon Street East.

Officers say they spotted a man with a firearm inside a vehicle.

Shots were fired and the man was injured. It's unclear who fired shots and how the man was injured.

Police are still on scene investigating.
