Police confirm shots fired near King and Gage in 'targeted' incident

Police have confirmed shots were fired in a "targeted" shooting near the corner of King Street East and Gage Street North Monday morning.

Officers were called to the area around 9 a.m. after reports of gunfire.

Several schools were placed in hold and secure for about 90 minutes while police investigated.

Evidence at the scene confirms shots were fired, say police, but there were no reported injuries.

Investigators say they believe the shooting was targeted.
