CBC Hamilton's Sounds of the Season campaign raises over 3K for local food bank

CBC Hamilton's Sounds of the Season campaign has raised$3,338.41 for our neighbours in need.

Thisannual campaign raises food and funds for Hamilton Food Share. It also raised 10kg of food.

Last year, the need was greater than ever. Hamilton Food Share reporteda 40 per centincrease in household visits and a 39 per centincrease in children served in 2023.

Across the province,more than $1 million was raised for food banksin 2022 through the Sounds of the Season campaign.

Community event at CBC Hamilton

CBC Hamilton held an afternoon of giving, art and community on Friday,Dec. 8.

This special event featured slam poetry performances by Hamilton You Poets, and students from Bishop Ryan Catholic Secondary School.
