Man injured after stabbing in St. Catharines home, woman charged

Niagara Regional Police Service have charged a woman with aggravated assault after she allegedly stabbed a man in a St. Catharines home on Saturday night.

The man was airlifted to an out-of-town hospital with serious injuries

A 44-year-old woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after she allegedly stabbed a man in a St. Catharines home Saturday at around 11:40 p.m.

The man was air-lifted to a hospital outside of the city with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Niagara Regional Police Service was first called to the home with reports of his injuries. Upon arrival and investigation, they found out the injuries were a result of an altercation.

Currently police is investigating the case as a "domestic disturbance."

The woman is held in police custody while she waits for bail hearing.
