Have you got a family doctor?

Thousands of people in Kamloops don't.

This week on Daybreak we are looking at a possible solutionby allowing more students into medical schools, but that's not a quick fix for people lining up at walk-in clinics today.

Yvonne Hamer has someideas.

She's a medical office assistant in Kamloops.

She says one way to ease pressure on the medical systemis to have patients to take more responsibility.

Daybreak's Jenifer Norwell spoke with Yvonne about what she sees in her work.
