The Morning Edition is CBC Kitchener-Waterloo's new morning show from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 .M. weekdays. It is hosted on-air by Craig Norris, and online by Andrea Bellemare.

The Morning Edition is CBC Kitchener-Waterloo's new morning radio show. It's hosted on-air by Craig Norris, formerlythe host of Radio One's comedy show Laugh Out Loud, Radio 3's The R3-30 and The Craig Norris Hour.

The Morning Edition is an on-air and online innovative programming format to provide the latest local news and commuter information.Online host Andrea Bellemare guidesthe dailydigital chat from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 and beyond. Have your say about the program, the guests, and the issues. Engage andtalk with other people in our community.

When can I hear the morning show?

The Morning Edition can be heard at 89.1 FM between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on weekdays.

Sowhat's the deal with those live chats in the morning?

The chats will run daily during the broadcast of The Morning Edition. It's your chance to react and ask questions in real time about our programming, and with others who have logged on to chat and give us your feedback. Our online host Andrea Bellemare will also present live chats with featured guests.

Will the station broadcast from remote locations?

Yes, we plan on broadcasting periodically from other communities inWaterloo Region.

Why is the CBC expanding into Kitchener-Waterloo?

The expansion is part of CBC's strategic plan, "Everyone, Every Way," which was launched in February 2011.The goal is to better connect more than six million Canadians over the next four years, in areas which have been identified as underserviced by Canada's public broadcaster.

CBC launched a new digital service in Hamilton, Ont.in the spring of 2012. Service expansionin 2013 has already been implemented for Kamloops,B.C.; Saskatoon, Sask. is scheduled for the spring.

"We made a commitment in our 2015 strategic plan to include the Waterloo Region and we're proud of what our small but committed team will be able to provide by way of coverage on the ground," says Susan Marjetti, managing director, CBC Toronto and Ontario region.
