Isaiah Macnab identified as victim of Kitchener fatal shooting

Isaiah Macnab, 20, has been identified by police as the victim of a fatal shooting in downtown Kitchener on Thursday.

Police released Macnab's name after an autopsy was completed.

"The cause of death has been determined to be a result of multiple gunshot injuries," police said Friday.

Mcnab's Facebook profile says he attended St. Mary's High School in Kitchener.

Family, including his sister Claudia Macnab, earlier namedhim in Facebook posts.

"Isaiah was my best friend, my world and my source of happiness through life. I don't know how I'm going to make it through life without you Isaiah," she wrote in the public post.

A Go Fund Me has been set up to help pay for funeral expenses by Heather Macnab Nichols.

In an email to CBC K-W, she said the family's "only statement is that our hearts are broken."

Suspects remain at large

Police continue to search for a white, four-door Mercedes that was seen leaving the area where Macnab was shot and killed on Thursday.

Police were called to the area of Pandora Avenue and King Street around 11:15 a.m. Macnab was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two suspects were seen in the car and police said it had a stolen licence plate attached to it: BZBP 153.

The car was last seen in the Erin Mills neighbourhood of Mississauga.

Police say the shooting was targeted.

This is Waterloo region's fifth homicide investigation this year.
