The Cambridge sports multiplex project, accused by critics of not having enough public discussion before choosing a final location, hasopened up for public input through the city's website.

Cambridge residents can now voice their thoughts on the sports multiplex location, via asurvey on engageCambridge.

The survey takes between five and fifteen minutes to completeand it asks residents to rate their level of agreementwith a number of statements regarding the multiplex.

Kent McVittie, deputy city manager for community services, said the multiplex task force has identified about 20 possible locations, after receivingnumerous suggestions from the community.

"Many of them may have to be screened out for various reasons, " he said. "If they're not large enough to accommodate the size of the facility and so on, so it's really early on in the process."

McVittie said he expects the multiplex construction to begin in 2018and to be completed by 2019.
