WRDSB have voted on who will fill the board's 2 vacant trustee seats

The Waterloo Region District school board voted on who will fill twovacant trustee seats during a special board meeting Wednesday night.

Samanta Estoesta is the new trustee for Waterloo-Wilmot and Joseph Meissner will fill the Woolwich-Wellesley seat.

In May, the board voted to go forward with an appointment process to fill theseats after the death oftrustee Fred Meissnerand the resignation oftrustee Marie Snyder.

Trustees heard presentations from 19 applicants at Wednesday's meeting.There were13 people who applied for the Waterloo-Wilmot seat and six applicants for theWoolwich-Wellesley seat.

Estoesta and Meissner were sworn in right after the vote.
