St. Boniface councillor concerned about daylight saving time

Now, Coun. Matt Allardwants to know whetherdaylight saving time is harming Winnipeggers.

The St. Bonifacecouncillor has authored a motion calling on the city to determine "whetherthere is a safety risk to the public stemming from fatigued drivers the morning after daylight savings time."

The motion, which comes before Riel community committee on Tuesday, asks the public works committee to have city traffic experts lookat collision data in Winnipeg "as far back as is appropriate."

In July, Allard authored a motionasking city staff to look into the land-use, traffic, planning, parking and policing implications of self-driving vehicles.
