15-year-old boy charged with 2nd-degree murder in Lake St. Martin First Nation shooting

A 15-year-old boy from Lake St. Martin First Nation has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting in the community earlier this week.

A 15-year-old boy from Lake St. Martin First Nation has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting in the community earlier this week.

The teen was arrested on Thursday, a day after Mounties found a 32-year-old woman fatally shot at a home in the Manitoba Interlake community,RCMP said in aSaturday news release.

The boy was taken into custody.

Police previously saidthe incident does not appear to be random.

RCMP continue to investigate.
