Orange you glad we didn't rhyme anise?

The word hot really is a contradiction of sorts.

Take fire. Kindling to make your spirits bright or raging into a forest fire. How about emotions? Sparks fly as things heat up romantically or it can blow your top when verbal frictions erupt into anger.

And with weather, well, we want to chill just when things are warming up outside.

At the Winnipeg Folk Festival this year, CBC Manitoba sensed your need to stay hot and stay cool so we cleverly came up with a few delicious creamsicle flavours.

And, thanks to our friends at Chocolatier Constance Popp they are riddled with creative contradictions.

Finding a little funny in frozen flavours

"We have pomegranate, anise, rose water, sage and ube,"said Robert Berube, lead chocolatier at Chocolatier Constance Popp.

"And [so], the idea behind these flavour choices was to really capture the diversity at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. From the musicians to the vibrant community here in the province that attends," said Berube.
