Car hits cyclist, then pedestrian in Winnipeg's North End

Part of Winnipeg's Main Street was shut down after a male cyclist and female pedestrian were hit by a car on Tuesday morning.

It happened around 7:45 a.m. at Main Street and Cathedral Avenue in the city's North End.

The northbound lanes of traffic were blocked at Main and Mountain Avenue for about an hour.

Police said the car hit the male cyclist before hitting the female pedestrian. His shoulder was slightly injured, police said, but he did not require medical treatment.

The girl isin stable condition in hospital. Police did notprovide her age.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and that currently no charges have been laid.
