Design of Winnipeg's BRT line to be revealed this week

Details about Phase 2 of Winnipeg's bus rapid transit (BRT) line will be revealed this week.

Details about Phase 2 of Winnipeg's bus rapid transit (BRT) line will be revealedthis week.

WinnipegTransit will release information about design of route from Jubilee Avenue to the University of Manitoba at an information open house onThursday.

Project representatives will be available to explain the functional design and answer any questions.

Earlier this year, some cityresidents learned their homes are in the way of the planned $590-million expansion of the BRTline.

The city has identified portions of at least 35 existing properties where the new route will cross. Those portions range from a few square metres of land to an entire house on Parker Avenue and two duplexes on Chancellor Drive.
