Gun left in Winnipeg taxi, police need help identifying suspect

The investigation into a gun being left in a Winnipeg taxicab has run dry and now police are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect.

The man got into the cab during the early morning of Feb.1, in thefirst-100 block of St. Anne's Road. He wasdriven to the 300 block of Blake Street, in the Weston area.

It was later discovered he left behind a loaded firearm, police said.

Despite a lengthy investigation, police have not yet been able toidentity the suspect, who is described as being22 or 23 yearsold andabout 5-foot-4 with amedium build. He also had asmall moustache and waswearing a tuque, bomber-style jacket and jeans.

He also hasa tattoo on the top of his right hand.
