It's starting to look a lot like the only white Christmas this year will be in the dreams of Winnipeggers.

The city received a dusting of snow Thursday morning but won't get much more.

The forecast, according to Environment Canada, calls for full sun over the next four days and a high of 2 C on Christmas Day and 4 C on Boxing Day.

"We've got about two to three centimeters on the ground right now. That's the least amount of snow for Christmas Day since 1997 when we just had a trace," said CBC weather specialist Marilyn Maki.

"Normally, we should have 16 centimeters."

At this time last year, we had already received more than 60 centimetres of snow. While some had melted, more than 20 centimetres remained on the ground.

The normal daytime high for this time of year12 Cwith a low of22 C.

The lows for the next week are forecast to be around5 C.
