Man pulls out gun during road rage incident near Winnipeg

A morning road rage incident quickly escalated into a gun scene east of Winnipeg.

A morning road rage incident quicklyescalated into a gun scene on just east ofWinnipeg.

Two vehicles were speeding, each trying to pass the other, until onedriver cutthe other off, according to RCMP, who said the incident happened on thePerimeter Highwayat about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When both vehicles stopped atared light on Dugald Road, two men got out of one car and went over to thedriver of the other vehicle. After an argument, the driver pulled out what appeared tobe a semi-automatic pistol and threatened thetwo men, police said.

The two men quickly walked away and called police, who later found and arrested a 25-year-old man. They also tookColt Defender .177 calibre air pistol from the car.

The 25-year-old manhas been charged with pointing a firearm, uttering threats, and using a firearm while committing an indictable offence.
