McPhillips Station Casino gets slotted in for major facelift

Winnipeg's McPhillips Station Casino is being dealt a $45-million upgrade.

Winnipeg'sMcPhillips Station Casino is being dealt a $45-million upgrade.

Work will beginnext spring, including the construction ofanoverhead link to the south parking lot, a new addition to the front, upgrades to the outside facadethat include relocatingan entryway, and enhancements to the Hudson Room on the second floor.

The work is part of an overall casino enhancement plan that began last year with Club Regent. Both casinos are owned and operated by the Manitoba Liquor andLotteries Corporation.

A new event centre wasadded to Club Regent and opened in 2014. Work is nowunderway on anew exterior facade.
