Missing Pimicikamak woman last seen in Winnipeg found safe, police say

A woman from northern Manitoba who went missing has been found safe, police say.

A woman from northern Manitoba who went missing has been found safe, police say.

The woman fromPimicikamak Cree Nation,also known as Cross Lake, about 530 kilometres north of Winnipeg,was reported missing to Winnipeg police on Monday, Sept. 13.

She was seen on Sunday, Sept. 5, near Redwood Avenue and Main Street in the city's North End.

Family members put out a call for help finding her.

On Sept. 24, police announced she had been found safe.

CBC News has removed the photo and name of the woman to protect her identity.
