RCMP have found Thompson woman they think could have information on April assault

Awoman who ManitobaRCMPwere trying to track down, believing she could have information on an assault that took place in Thompson about two weeks ago, has been located.

Around 1 p.m. on April 27, RCMPreceived a report about an assault earlier in the day at a home on Cornell Place in Thompson.

The officers who went to that home spoke to several residents, but could not determine what happened, RCMP said in a Wednesday news release.

Police said theywere looking for a 20-year-old woman they believed could provide some of those details.Her whereabouts were unknown, but RCMPat the time said she might have travelled to Winnipeg.

Policeissued an update on Friday saying the woman had been located, but no information was provided onwhere or when.

A previous version of this story contained her name and photograph. Those have since been removed now that she has been found.
