Pedestrian taken to hospital in critical condition after being hit by bus: Winnipeg police

One person was taken to hospital Thursday evening in critical condition after being hit by a bus, Winnipeg police say.

Officers notified of incident just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday

A pedestrian was taken to hospitalin critical condition Thursday evening after being hit by a bus on Main Street,Winnipeg police say.

They were notified about the collision, on Mainbetween Logan and Higgins avenues, just after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, police told CBC.

They saidthe person wasn't crossing the street at a designated intersection, butweren't able to provide any other details about the collision. Policewould not confirm details about the victim, such as their age or gender.

Northbound lanes of Main Street were still closed when CBCwent to the collision scene around 7 p.m.
