RCMP are asking for help from the public in tracing the last hours of life of18-year-old Hillary Angel Wilson, whose body was found near a highway on the edge of Winnipeg last month.

Wilson was last seen on the evening of Aug. 19 in Winnipeg'sNorth End. Herbody was discovered the next day at the intersection of Highway 59 and the Perimeter Highway.

RCMP Sgt. Line Karpish said investigators are disappointed they haven't been getting a lot of tips in this case, so they've released a new photo of the dead girl.

The teen's death is also being investigated by a police task force set up recently to look at the increasing number of missing or murdered women in Manitoba over the last several years.

One of Wilson's close friends, 17-year-old Cherisse Houle, was found dead in a creek near Winnipeg just six weeks before Wilson died.

Police are still waiting for toxicology results in order to pinpoint the cause of Houle's death, but so far, investigators have not linked the two deaths.

An integrated task force to investigate cases of slain women in Manitoba, as well as cases of missing women where foul play is suspected, was announcedAug. 26by the Manitoba government, the RCMP and the Winnipeg Police Service.
