RCMP arrest former Gretna pastor on voyeurism, child-porn charges

The man is a former church pastor in Gretna, located in south-central Manitoba. Police did not release the suspect's name, and say he is no longer in a position at the church.

RCMP arrested a former pastor in southern Manitoba on charges related to child pornography and voyeurism on Tuesday. (CBC)

A former pastor in Gretna, Man.,faces voyeurism and child pornography chargesafter he was arrested by CarmanRCMP on Wednesday.

He's charged with five counts of voyeurism, accessing child pornography and possessing child pornography.

Theman wasa church pastor in Gretna, a small townabout 100 kilometres south of Winnipeg on the U.S. border.Police did not releasehisnamebut saidhe is no longer in a position at the church.

The same man was arrested and charged with seven counts of voyeurism and production of child pornographyand released on a promise to appear in court in May 2014.

The charges followed an incident in 2012 when two female youthsat Moose Lake Provincial Parkdiscovered a "mobile device" inside the washroom of the place where they were staying, police said.

The device contained still images and video of the two girls, who were from the Rural Municipality of Rhineland, RCMP said.

The matter was reported to the RCMP in December 2013 and they started their investigation.

The man was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
