'Seriously injured' baby girl in critical condition in Winnipeg

A "seriously injured" two-month-old girl found near Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation has been transported to hospital in Winnipeg.

A "seriously injured" two-month-old girlfound near Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation has been transported to hospital in Winnipeg.

RCMP in Virden, Man., were called Monday after reports of an injured baby near the Manitoba First Nation.

Before police arrived, RCMPsaidthe baby was transported to a hospital in the area. Shewas then sent to a hospital in Winnipeg, where she remains in critical condition.

RCMP and Dakota Ojibway Police have secured a home in connection with the case.
