Shooting sends man to hospital

A 43-year-old man was shot in Winnipeg's Jefferson neighbourhood on Wednesday night, police say.

Police were called to Andrews Street, between Perth and Hartford Avenues, just before midnight.

Officers found a manwho had been shot in the lower body.

He was taken to hospital in stable condition, police said.
