Winnipeg's Maria Aragon received a standing ovationTuesday after performing her rendition of Lady Gaga's song, Born This Way, on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The 10-year-old singing sensation has rocketed to fame since pop superstar Lady Gaga posted a link on Twitter to a YouTube video of the little girl playing keyboard singing the song.

"Can't stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future," Gaga tweeted on Feb. 17aboutAragon's cover.

Posted Feb. 16, the video had about 3,100 views before Gaga's tweet. Within a couple of hours after the tweet, the views had shot up to 61,000.

When the praise by Gaga hit the mainstream news,Aragon was suddenly being interviewed around Winnipeg and appeared on a local radio station.

On Friday, she was back on a local radio station and was hooked up, via telephone, to Lady Gaga herself. The pair sang together briefly before Gaga invited Aragonto join her in a duet at a Toronto concert in March.

The publicity drove more attention to the YouTube video andbythe time Aragon was on Ellen, the video had beenbeen viewedmore than 10.7 million times.

DeGeneres asked Aragon what it was like to talk to hericon.

"It's like not everyday you get to talk to a superstar. And make somebody feel better," Aragon said, referring to Gaga's comment on the radio show, when she said she was having a bad day until seeing the video.

"She probably has a lot of pressures and a lot of stuff that goes on and so she was having a bad day and here you are, cheering her up."

Aragon is also scheduled to be on Good Morning America later this week.
