Police need help identifying body found in river

Winnipeg police are seeking help to identify a woman whose body was found in the Red River.

Winnipeg police are seeking helpto identifya woman whose body was found in the Red River.

The body was discovered on June 15 by someone who noticed a black plastic garbage bagfloating in the water not far from the North Perimeter Bridge.

Four days later, the police revealed the body was that of a woman but said homicidewas notsuspected because an autopsyrevealed no signs of foul play.

The woman believed to be between 35 and 50 years old, and about five feet and six inches tall with a slim build.

Shemay have also worn dentures, police said.

Photos ofjewelry the woman was wearing have been released by police in hopes it might help identify her.
