21-year-old Brandon man found dead in Swan River park believed to be victim of homicide: RCMP

A 21-year-old man from Brandon who was found dead in awestern Manitoba park Friday night is believed to have been the victim of homicide, police say.

A 21-year-old man from Brandon who was found dead in awestern Manitoba park Friday night is believed to have been the victim of homicide, police say.

The man was found unresponsivein Legion Park in Swan River about 270 kilometres north of Brandon by officers responding to a call around 11 p.m., a Saturday news release from RCMP said.

The man had obvious injuriesand was pronounced dead at the scene, Mountiessaid.

The RCMP's major crime services and forensic identification services are investigating his death as a homicide.
