Winnipeg police hope tattoos will help identify deceased cyclist

Winnipeg police hope releasing new details about a female cyclist who died in a collision on Main Street and Logan Avenue Wednesday will help identify her.

Winnipeg police hope releasing new details about a female cyclist who died in a collision on Main Street and Logan Avenue Wednesday will help identify her.

The woman, who appears to be in her late20s or early 30s, has "distinctive tattoos" on her left arm, said a police news release on Friday.

But police wouldnot providea photo or description of the tattoos because they want to use that information to help single out legitimate calls.

The woman was ridinga white Barletta ATB 12 bicycle with grey writing on it at the time of the crash, said police.She had no identification on her.

Anyone with information about who the cyclist might becan call investigators with the central traffic unit at 204-986-6271.
