He's back! Riding Mountain National Park restores topiary moose

A popular statue is fixed and nearlyready for camping selfies.

The topiary moose at Riding Mountain National Park was uprighted on Friday, according to a Facebook post written by park staff.

The moose, made with a wire frame and plants,had been damaged and toppled over by vandalssometime overnight on Wednesday.

A small crane helped make the statue uprightwhile park staff fixed the broken legs.

"The topiary moose is being returned to its magnificent being today thanks to our grounds, technical service and gardening crews. It will be ready for some photos this summer in the next few weeks," National Park staff posed on Facebook Friday.

The statue was designed by world-renowed topiary designer Joe Kyte last summer and put together by park staff.

Manitoba RCMP are looking for who may have vandalized the statue on Wednesday.
