Whitehorse is made up of Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland, they're playing April 24 at Winnipeg's Burton Cummings Theatre.

Whitehorse is set to play Winnipeg's Burton Cummings theatre tonight in the midst of a North American tour.

Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland make up the Canadian folk duo that released their latest album,Leave No Bridge Unburnedearlier this year.

Before their show, the pair stopped in to chat with CBC host Ismaila Alfa onUp to Speed.

Doucetadmittedhe hasa bias and loves to return home to Winnipeg and its music scene, "I'll scream it from the rooftops that I think the standards are extraordinarily high."

"I would also say that's partly because it's so cold and there's not a lot to do when it's February whenit's minus 30 and you're stuck in your parents' basement. I practiced seven or eight hours a day when I was a kid," he added.
