Woman seriously hurt after boater flees tubing crash in Whiteshell, RCMP say

A woman was airlifted out of the Whiteshell after being hit by a boat while in the water at Nutimik Lake, RCMP say.

A woman was airlifted out of the Whiteshell after being hit by a boat while in the water at Nutimik Lake, RCMP say.

The 24-year-old woman was tubing on Saturday around 6 p.m. when she fell off and was hit by another boat, according to RCMP.

STARS Air Ambulance was called because the woman was seriously injured, and RCMP said she is now in stable condition.

The boat didn't stop and RCMP are asking anyone who was on the lake at the time to contact police.

Nutimik Lake is located about 129 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg.
